You can contribute to change at LSE by sharing your views about your student experience, and by working in partnership with us.
Below, you can find out about some of the changes that have been shaped by your contributions, and implemented to enhance your experience at LSE now, and for future generations of students.
Introducing education and assessment enhancements
Your feedback helps us to make better decisions about the changes needed to enhance your educational experience at LSE, with many programmes of work either completed or underway to support your studies. We have:
Introduced one of the biggest e-exam rollouts in the UK, with 6,500 sittings (2,900 students) across 135 exams and 8 departments during the four-week 2022/23 summer exam period. In this year's exam period we're expecting 18 departments to use e-Exams.
Centralised deferrals to make the process fairer, quicker and simpler
Made Moodle improvements for many of the courses you take, including:
1. Added a course index so you can navigate through your course Moodle pages more quickly
2. Introduced the ability to personalise your Moodle dashboard
3. Added a timeline to the dashboard so you can see what submissions you have coming up
4. And, some departments now provide direct access to available grades from the homepage.
We’re also improving our course selection and timetabling systems, making adjustments to the In-year Resit and Deferred Assessment Period, and collaborating with departments on assessment and feedback - such as working to ensure marking criteria are available on every Moodle page and increasing the use of digital platforms for submission and feedback.
